Such an exciting morning for McKinley Elementary! We are thankful to Sprouts Farmers Market & Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for their generous grant of $5,000 which will go toward supporting our Jaguar Jungle to add fruit trees and bushes, new tools and protection for the garden during freezes, and more! With this grant, we’re able to provide more opportunities for our students in the garden and add a greenhouse for year-round planting. Together, let’s plant the seeds of a healthier future for our kids and community. 🌱
Thank you to Mrs. Musgrove (1st Grade) and Mrs. Flake (UUMC & Kids Hope) for showing up and putting in so much work to help our kids grow in every way!

Every day a student is in school is another opportunity to learn, connect, grow and make progress toward their goals. Throughout September, we’ll share resources, practical tips and reminders to help Louisiana families, educators and communities support strong attendance.
