Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a tragedy that changed us forever — and today we honor the memory of every life lost, every first responder who ran toward danger without hesitation, and every family whose world was forever altered on that September morning.
As government meeting professionals, we are privileged to serve the public sector — the agencies, the institutions, and the systems of government that exist to protect, support, and strengthen the communities we call home. On this day, that privilege carries even greater meaning.
We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the courage of the first responders — the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and volunteers who gave everything.
We recognize the military men and women who answered the call in the days, months, and years that followed.
And we recommit ourselves to the values that define us as a nation — service, resilience, unity, and hope.
To every member of our SGMP Louisiana Chapter family who has served — in uniform, in public service, or in quiet daily dedication to the communities around them — thank you.
We will never forget.
