๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™ World Mental Health Day ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

Some burdens arenโ€™t visible. Behind a smile may be a woman trying to hold everything together while navigating uncertainty, loss, or simply making it through the day.

At Haven of Hope Transitional Living, we believe every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Our commitment to restoring HOPE includes recognizing the emotional challenges that can come with homelessness and housing instability and meeting women with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Today, let this be your reminder: You donโ€™t have to have everything figured out to deserve support. Itโ€™s okay to pause, ask for help, and take life one step at a time.

Check on someone you love. Listen without judgment. Make room for honest conversations and extend that same kindness to yourself.

Your mental health matters. Your story matters. YOU matter.

Successful reentry begins with access to care, support, and opportunities to rebuild.

Louisiana has received federal approval for an initiative that will provide certain Medicaid services to eligible individuals during the 60 days before their release from incarceration. These services aim to strengthen connections to mental health care, substance use treatment, and continued support in the community.

Implementation is planned to begin at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in early 2027, followed by additional state prisons and participating parish jails.

At Haven of Hope Transitional Living, we recognize that access to care is an important part of rebuilding stability. For women returning to their communities, connections to healthcare, safe housing, and supportive resources can help create a stronger foundation for the future.

We welcome progress that helps people move forward with dignity, support, and HOPE. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

Haven of Hope Transitional Living is working toward creating a future residence where women experiencing homelessness or housing instability will have the opportunity to feel safe, supported, seen, and empowered as they rebuild their lives.

We envision a home where women will be able to exhale. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿ’™A place where they can begin setting goals again.
๐Ÿ’šA place where they can strengthen life skills, prepare for employment, connect with resources, and work toward permanent housing.
๐Ÿ’™A place where encouragement, accountability, community, and dignity will be part of the everyday experience.

๐Ÿ›Œ represent rest and stability.

๐Ÿ“šThe group room will be a place for learning, connection, family nights, life-skills sessions, and meaningful conversations.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธThe kitchen will be more than a place to prepare meals, it will be a place where community is built.

Throughout the home, EVERY space will be created with purpose.

Our goal is not simply to provide temporary housing.
We are working toward creating an experience that helps women move from crisis to stability, from uncertainty to direction, and from surviving to believing in what is possible again.

One day, this vision will become a front door and behind that door women WILL find the support, tools, and opportunities they need to begin their next chapterโ€ฆ A HOME OF TRANSFORMATION!
