SYSTEM PRESSURE ADVISORY

System Pressure Advisory
Arapahoe Area
The water consumers of Pamlico County Water System have experienced periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system due to waterline damage. Water department staff have made repairs to the system. The following areas are covered under the advisory:
Residents located from the intersection of Don Lee Rd, Buckland Rd, and Janiero Rd (four-way intersection) to Dawson Creek Bridge, including the river side on Don Lee Road AND any adjacent roads.
Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Therefore, the Pamlico County Water Department advises that when water is restored consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This office is strongly urging the water consumers to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory remains in effect until sample results are returned (24-48 hours) and when further written notification is issued.
