Fire Prevention Tip of The Day 🔥

This melted surge protector is a reminder of how quickly an electrical overload can become a fire hazard. Too many devices, especially a portable heater, plugged into one power strip can cause overheating.

Don’t overload outlets or power strips, and always plug portable heaters directly into a wall outlet.

Stay safe and prevent fires before they start!

🔥 OHIO OPEN BURNING RESTRICTION 🔥

A reminder that Ohio’s seasonal open-burning restrictions begin October 1 and continue through November 30.

Outside municipal limits, Ohio law prohibits open-air burning of wood, brush, weeds, grass, or rubbish between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during October and November.

This restriction is about open burning—it does not automatically prohibit legal recreational or cooking fires that meet the applicable requirements.

When in doubt, check before you burn!

Jon not only is a member with us but also runs with Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department, Ohio, Macochee Joint Ambulance District , and works for Jerome Township Fire Department in Union County.

Both men bring a wealth of knowledge to their new positions!

9/11 - 25 years

We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost...

Every first responder, volunteer, and ordinary person who stepped forward to help.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and all who ran towards danger to save others.

We remember those at the Pentagon.

We remember the passengers and crew aboard the four planes - including those who showed incredible courage and tried to save others in their final moments.

We remember the survivors who still carry the trauma of that day.

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and the lives they touched.

On 8/29/2026 at 1254 hrs, we were paged reference Milk Tanker that crashed in the 5900 block of CR 40 with Bokescreek Fire/EMS Dept. Hazmat 131 responded. On scene, H131 assisted with containing the milk spill and contacting the Ohio EPA. Tops Towing & Garage handled the clean up.
