Today, concrete started being poured on the Frank Scott Parkway East extension project in Shiloh. Earth moving, etc. has been underway for over a year. The extension is 1.6 miles long! We acquired the needed right of way property through negotiated land acquisition with the 8 property owners (14 parcels) from 2008 through 2017. So, the County has owned the needed land for many years. We just waited on the final federal funding and of course the State bid letting. It’s always great getting to this milestone. Open practice for all classes. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.,
Pit admission is $20.
Practice will run from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Grandstand admission is free.
Flat Broke will perform live in the Midway from 9:00 p.m. – Midnight, concessions will be open.

-October 24th
Pits open at Noon,
Pit admission is $40.
Trunk or Treat for the children from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Midway.
Grandstands open at 3:00 p.m., Adults are $20 in advance and $22 at the event
Children 6-12 are $10 in advance and $12 at the event
Children 5 and under are FREE. Racing starts at 5:00 p.m.

-Classes running: $1,500 to win for Dirt Car UMP Modifieds,
$500 to win for Dirt Car Factory Stocks, NARA Outlaw Winged Micros, and NARA Limited Modifieds.
$200 to win for Dirt Car Hornets.

-Parts trailer will be on hand.

-If you want to Feel it, Hear it, and Enjoy the adrenaline rush, we will see you in person as the event will not be televised.

Congratulations to the 24 graduates that recently graduated from the Career Pathways of Southern Illinois. Career Pathways is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to connecting individuals to family-sustaining jobs in the construction and utility sectors.

They develop programs that help our members expand employment and advancement opportunities, upgrade the skills of their current employees, and recruit and retain qualified job candidates.

Their programs give opportunities and hope by preparing low-income, unemployed and young workers seeking careers in various targeted industries, in preparation for the Construction Apprenticeship system by matching the needs of the construction industry by providing trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to possibly enter a registered apprenticeship in the building and construction trades.
