Come explore a rich historical exhibit highlighting the cafรฉs, restaurants, owners, legendary cooks, menus, utensils, promotions, and stories that are part of Nicodemusโ€™ culinary pastโ€”from ๐‰๐ž๐ง๐ง๐ฒ ๐…๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐จ ๐„๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐•๐š๐ง๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ.
The exhibit will be on display at the Nicodemus Historical Society & Museum, located at 611 S. 5th Avenue, just south of the Nicodemus school.

The Kansas Black Farmers Association (KBFA) will sponsor free brunch samples at the KBFA Farmerโ€™s Certified Kitchen, located at Ernestineโ€™s former cafรฉ. The samples will be prepared by our newest Nicodemus descendant residents and professional chefs, Brittney and Milton Jones. The couple recently moved to Nicodemus and are former professional chefs from Houston, Texas. Brittney is the daughter of Tammy Counts and granddaughter of the late Louella Holmes.

Come out, welcome them home, and enjoy a taste of the incredible dishes prepared by Nicodemusโ€™ newest culinary contributors!

Rooks County, get out and enjoy the activities this weekend! Saturday morning, join Stockton Public Library and the Rooks County Historical Society Museum for a Coffee hour at 11:00 am at the Historical Society Museum, and help Unearth Stockton's History. Have old photos, newspaper clippings, or a story to share? Bring them along! Nova Theater is showing The Odyssey and McKenna Youth Center is showing Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie with a fun Popcorn, Pajama Movie Night Saturday. Tell us what you are up to this weekend!
