Twenty years. ❤️
In 2006, I moved to Oklahoma as a newly single mom with three kids, and I needed a job that would allow me to still be a full-time mom. I needed something that worked around my kids’ schedules, so I started working at their school.
Honestly, I thought it was going to be temporary. Just something to do until my kids were old enough to be home alone for a few minutes until I got off work.
Well… apparently God had other plans. 😂
That “temporary” job turned into a career I never expected, friendships I never could have imagined, and a place that has become such a huge part of my life.
Today marks 20 years with the same company. Twenty years of learning, growing, changing, laughing, crying, solving problems, feeding kids, advocating for kids, and doing something I truly love.
I came here in 2006 looking for a job that would let me be a mom.
I never expected to find a career.
I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, grateful for the people who have been part of the journey, and honestly a little amazed that the “temporary job” turned into 20 years. 🥹❤️
Here’s to 20 years… and apparently I’m not done yet! 😉
