Birmingham City Council authorizes application for $30 million grant to modernize Port Birmingham
The port is located on the Black Warrior River’s Locust Fork and currently moves material like coal and scrap metal.

The cranes at the Port of Birmingham have been an asset to our operation since the 1940s.
As we continue investing in port infrastructure, enhancements to crane operations will help improve efficiency, expand capacity, and strengthen the movement of commodities throughout the region.
