We have officially launched the workforce component of Reinvest Birmingham which is a major step toward expanding opportunity in our city.

Led by the City of Birmingham Department of Innovation and Economic Opportunity, Reinvest will connect residents in the North Birmingham, Northside, Pratt, and Smithfield communities to job training, career pathways, and wraparound support services that lead to long-term, sustainable careers.

This launch represents real progress in closing the opportunity gap for historically underserved neighborhoods and a meaningful investment in Birmingham’s economic future.

Reinvest serves the North Birmingham, Northside, Pratt, and Smithfield communities because they have faced decades of disinvestment, pollution, and land use decisions that limited access to opportunity.
