It is impressive what capable hands and strong backs can get done on a beautiful Oaktober Day. 40 Chicago Region trees were properly planted, watered and fenced within 3 hours due to the effort by Openlands, The Student Conservation Association, and Blue Island neighbors. As these trees establish, water run-off will be reduced, wild life habitat has been provided and a lovely screen will protect close-by residents from wayward golf balls. Tree Cheers! 🌳⛳️🎋😎

With great gratitude for the collaboration of The Morton Arboretum/CRTI, Eisenhower High School Environmental Club, City of Blue Island Illinois, Blue Island Forestry Board, as well as the many wonderful neighbors and volunteers growing our community.
