🚪🔥 OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW! 🔥🐓

Another transformation completed by Mejia’s Days Off, LLC! 💪

This project was a little more than just swapping out a door!

We removed an old sliding glass door and upgraded it to a beautiful new French door! Since the new door was smaller than the original opening, we had to reframe the area to make everything fit properly.

✅ Removed the old sliding glass door
✅ Reframed and resized the opening
✅ Installed new insulation and house wrap
✅ Installed new exterior siding and trim
✅ Installed and finished the new French door
✅ Removed outdated shiplap and wallpaper from the '70s/'80s
✅ Repaired, taped, and floated the interior walls
✅ Hand-matched the existing rustic, skip-trowel-style wall texture
✅ Painted and finished everything for a clean, seamless look
✅ Full cleanup before calling it a wrap!

From framing and exterior protection to drywall finishing and paint, we handled the whole nine yards! Our goal wasn't just to install a new door, but to make everything look like it belonged there from the beginning. 👌

And of course, we couldn't officially call this job complete without our four-legged quality control inspector! 🐶😂 He had to come check out the new French doors himself!

Big jobs, small details, same dedication to quality.

📍 Proudly serving San Antonio, Boerne & surrounding communities!

🌳 IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT CUTTING THE TREE… IT’S ABOUT KNOWING WHERE IT’S GOING TO LAND. 👀🪚

This tree had already decided it was done and snapped — so it was time for us to finish the job the right way.

In this video you’ll see both angles:
🎥 POV while making the cut
🎥 A second angle showing the tree come down

When you’re working around homes, fences, landscaping, and other property, you can’t just start cutting and hope for the best.

You need to know where to cut, how to cut, how the tree is leaning, and how to bring it down in a controlled direction.

That’s exactly what we did.

🌳 Precise cuts
🪚 Controlled tree removal
🏠 Protecting everything around the work area
🛻 Cut up, loaded into the trailer & hauled away
🧹 Property cleaned up when we’re finished

At Mejia’s Days Off, LLC, we handle everything from tree trimming and fallen trees to brush removal and property clearing.

When something needs to come down, we make sure it comes down where we want it. 🎯

We cleaned everything out, cleared the buildup, and made sure the gutters and downspouts were flowing properly again. ✅💦

Rusty, faded handrails? Let us bring them back to life!

We don’t just cover up the problem—we properly prepare and restore the surface for a longer-lasting finish.

These handrails had the old rust areas sanded down before receiving two full coats of professional DTM Direct-to-Metal paint. Instead of spraying and risking overspray on nearby surfaces, we applied the paint by hand with a rag to reach every angle, corner, and crack.

This method provides:

✅ Thicker, more complete coverage
✅ Better control around surrounding surfaces
✅ No overspray or unnecessary mess
✅ A smooth, durable, professional finish

Don’t wait until rust causes permanent damage. Protect your handrails, improve your property’s appearance, and extend the life of your metal surfaces.
