Reminder
No school tomorrow!

10/22/2026

Reminder: The RJH Fall Showcase Concert originally scheduled for Thursday, Oct 22 for all of our RJH Band students has been altered. Reminders included the following information:

Intermediate Band (7/8 grade students) will now perform on Tuesday, Oct 27 at 11:00 AM in the Rivercrest Auditorium. This concert is open to public audience, and visitors should check in at the RJH front office with Haley Thompson. We will share the concert recordings if anyone is unable to make it to the school day performance.

This change was made with this week's many other events in mind, including the career fair, walk-a-thon, other school activities, and lost instructional time with a busy week for all.

Cadet Band (all beginners) and the Intermediate Band (7/8 grade students) will still have their regularly scheduled Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec 8 at 6:15 PM in the Rivercrest Auditorium. More details are included in the concert reminders sent home the week before Thanksgiving break.

Thank you for understanding and continuing your support of the Rivercrest ISD Bands! Please let us know if you have additional questions: [email protected]

Tomorrow is Career Day at RHS. We just wanted to make you aware -- The LifeNet helicopter will land for the CCMR Expo tomorrow morning. He's scheduling a landing between 9:15-9:40. Don't be alarmed if you see the helicopter at Rivercrest 😊

My Spanish 1 classes are putting their Spanish skills into action! Today, students practiced having conversations in Spanish with their classmates and recorded themselves speaking to one another. It was a fun, interactive way to build their confidence, improve their pronunciation, and put what they’ve learned into practice! I love seeing my students step outside their comfort zones and grow in their Spanish-speaking skills!
