It’s been one month since the big reveal of the MacArthur Hub Economic Impact Study.

We asked 111 local businesses how they are doing.

79 plan to expand in the next three years. 3 in 4 are optimistic about Long Island's economic future.

The biggest challenge they named is the cost of doing business. The project they want most for the Hub is a convention center. And what they want most from the MBA is more networking.

After six years of climbing the USA Today 10Best rankings, Long Island MacArthur Airport has reached the top spot in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Small Airport.

The recognition reflects years of growth, expanded air service, major infrastructure investment, and strong community support, while reinforcing ISP’s role as one of Long Island’s most important transportation and economic assets.

From sixth place in 2020 to first in 2026, this is a milestone worth celebrating.
