True to our name, we believe meaningful connections drive better academic outcomes, so we build a strong circle of support that unites students, families, and educators. Beyond academics, our teachers focus on building fundamental life skills, partnering with families to help students learn how they learn best. In North Idaho, this year's Back-to-School field trip was a tour of an Alpaca Ranch! Students learned about the animals: mini horses, sheep, goats, chickens, and of course the alpacas. 🐎🐐🦙

Students and families got to pet the sheep in the pasture and help herd the alpacas to another field. Seeing the baby alpacas and feeding the animals was one of the favorite parts of the trip!

In Boise, the Back-to-School Field Trip featured games, crafts, science demonstrations, and a special guest from a Bunny Rescue! 🐇

Middle and high school students participated in a virtual Constitution Day field trip this year! During this field trip, students learned about the conflicts faced during the Constitutional Convention and participated in a simulation of the Constitutional Convention where they had to vote and agree on compromises to create their own version of the Constitution.

While some students used their knowledge of compromises made in 1787 to vote for what should be included in the Constitution, others voted based on the ideas that sounded best based on their own experiences.

Constitutional compromises that students learned about and voted on ranged from whether the Bill of Rights should be included to what the scope of government should be to how states should be represented in the government. This field trip also offered an introduction to the Constitution Club, a virtual club for middle and high school students that meets throughout the school year.
