Milled up some spalted Pecan today!!! This stuff has some gorgeous figure and is perfect coffee table size!!

While the weather may be dreary sawing slabs makes me cheery😉

Heres an Ash log from a storm damaged tree Petersburg and a Hickory from a hazardous removal in Fayetteville. These will make some unique tables once they are dried and finished out.

Cookie cutting time! These are 43 inches at the widest point!! Will make some great epoxy pieces or make small benches from either side of the split. Love the uniqueness of every piece!!!

What we decide not to mill gets split into firewood to season for next winter. We don’t waste anything!

Surfaced out this absolutely beautiful Maple slab for a client this morning!! All thats left to do is install some bowties down the split, sand, and epoxy. Hopefully we will get a pic when this project is completed.

Milling some dimensional Oak for a plank fence and stumbled on these beautiful knots and lots of figure. I may just have to slab this out for some bar tops.

More salvaged wood!!! These along with some beautiful Red Oak logs were recently taken from a large tree that had blown down in a storm. Soooo thankful we got the call to clean this tree up!!

Can’t wait to mill these into some big cookies!!

Last year was definitely a journey. We’ve had some hurdles to leap over just always have to follow Grandaddy’s advice and “Keep on keepin on”. Our biggest hurdle was in a big storm that came through a straight line wind blew a barn down on our mill. Fortunately no one was hurt but it did take a while to dig the mill out and get set up at a new location.

This year though, now this year is gonna be HUGE!!! Hopefully you can take this ride with us and see just how beautiful Urban Forestry can be. All our lumber and slabs are salvaged from hazard or unwanted yard trees. No deforestation necessary😉

Hey!! Big update!! We finally got our new mill up and running!! Super excited to be able to bring some urban forestry to Fayetteville. We are utilizing logs removed locally by Stars and Stripes Tree Service LLC.

We believe that trees are a valuable resource and are grateful to be a part of saving these beautiful logs from being hauled to a dump or left to rot in a field.

Here is some of the first Oak we have milled,a little bit of Red Oak as well as a Pin Oak log. Notice those beautiful circular saw marks!

Another crucial part of operations right here!! Samuel has been with me from the start of all of these endeavors.

I honestly don’t have a clue what I would have done without him along the way. This young man right here is hardworking, motivated, and doesn’t back down from a task. Looking forward to many more years and good times brother!!
