The Boston Police Detectives Benevolent Society is saddened by the line of duty death of Carroll County Sheriff's Office (Virginia) Deputy Sheriff Logan Utt who was shot and killed during a wellbeing check on Friday, May 29, 2026. Another deputy was wounded and is recovering. Our condolences to Deputy Utt’s loved ones and coworkers. Rest easy, Brother. We have the watch. Our prayers of strength and healing to the injured deputy.
