The room was powerful today!

CLM hosted our Transition-Age Youth (TAYC) Hill Day at the Massachusetts State House, bringing together youth and policymakers for a conversation that was honest, emotional, and impossible to ignore.

Transition-age youth shared what it really means to age out of care and made it clear that more support is needed. From housing to mental health to real pathways to education and employment, their voices highlighted both the challenges and the solutions.

This is what advocacy looks like. Youth leading the conversation and pushing for change!

March is Social Work Month! šŸ’™

This year’s theme, ā€œSocial Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform.ā€, recognizes the vital role social workers play in strengthening families, advocating for vulnerable communities, and driving meaningful change.

At the Children’s League of Massachusetts, we see this work every day through our members and partners across the Commonwealth. From supporting youth in foster care to advancing policies that strengthen families and communities, social workers are at the heart of building systems that help children and young people thrive.

This month, we celebrate the social workers who uplift youth and families, defend their rights, and transform systems through advocacy, compassion, and leadership.

Last week, our team joined advocates and community partners at the Massachusetts State House for Common Start Coalition’s Advocacy Day!Ā

It was a powerful morning connecting with legislators and staff to advance priorities for child care and early education funding in the FY27 budget. Together, we lifted the voices of families, providers, and children who rely on high-quality care across the Commonwealth.

CLM joined advocates, providers, community partners, and policymakers at the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ Legislative Action Day at the State House today. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to share stories, connect with legislators, and advocate for policies that address housing instability and homelessness across Massachusetts.

Events like this are a powerful reminder that when communities and policymakers raise their voices together, meaningful change is possible.
