Community Career Connections, a part of the Potter Mckean Ed Council career mentor program, recently welcomed Bret Butler, Athletic Director from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, to speak with 7th and 8th grade students at Fretz Middle School.

Mr. Butler shared his personal career journey, highlighting the importance of hard work, perseverance, and taking advantage of opportunities along the way. He encouraged students to explore their interests, remain open to new experiences, and recognize that career paths are often shaped by the relationships they build and the choices they make throughout their educational journey.

His valuable message emphasized that success is not always a straight path and that dedication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn can help students achieve their goals. Students gained insight into careers in higher education, athletics, and leadership while learning about the many opportunities available to them in the future.

Community Career Connections thanks Mr. Butler for taking the time to inspire and encourage our students as they begin exploring future career possibilities.

The Owls final score came on a pass from Haynoski to Jameis Furlong for a 10-yard touchdown reception.

πŸ’— A Night for a Great Cause! πŸ’—

Yesterday was our final home football game of the season, and it was extra special as we came together for our Pink Out for Cancer! πŸŽ€

Throughout the day and during the game, our school and community joined forces to raise money to support one of our very own students who is courageously battling cancer.

We are so grateful for everyone who donated, participated, wore pink, and showed up to support this amazing cause. The love, generosity, and support shown remind us that we are more than a school or a community β€” we are family. πŸ’—

Thank you for helping us turn our final home game into something truly meaningful. Together, we stand strong! πŸŽ€πŸ’—
