🚒🔥 BRANDSVILLE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT IS HIRING!

Well… hiring might be a strong word, considering the pay is $0. 😂

Ever wanted a job where you can be sound asleep one minute and putting your boots on backward the next? How about spending your free time with a group of people who probably shouldn't be left unsupervised?

Then we've got just the opportunity for you!

🚒 Here's what we offer:

💰 A starting salary of absolutely nothing. And don't worry, there's no chance of a pay cut!

🚨 A pager that has a special talent for going off during dinner, showers, and your best night's sleep.

💪 A free workout program involving heavy hoses, awkward equipment, and absolutely no warning.

😂 Coworkers with questionable humor, endless sarcasm, and a talent for turning just about anything into a joke.

🔥 The occasional opportunity to get hot, cold, muddy, soaked, and exhausted… sometimes all in the same call.

❤️ A second family that'll give you a hard time one minute and have your back without hesitation the next.

No experience? No problem! We'll provide the training. All you need is a willingness to learn, a desire to help, and the ability to laugh at yourself every now and then.

All jokes aside, our community depends on volunteers willing to step up when someone needs help. It's not always easy, it's definitely not glamorous, but there's nothing quite like knowing you made a difference.

Come join the Brandsville Fire Protection District.🚒

We are looking to hire 2 personnel to join our amazing ranks. Closer to the town of Brandsville the absolutely the better.

We can't promise you'll get rich, but we can promise you'll be part of something worth doing.

🔥 Because when the tones drop, somebody has to answer. Why not you?

🚒 What an amazing day at the Fire Engine Rally! This was a great experience for everyone, especially those of us who are just getting started and learning the ropes. Fire Engine Rally is not only a fun and exciting event, but also a great opportunity to learn, gain experience, build confidence, and meet other departments who share the same passion for serving their communities.

Brandsville has never had a Fire Engine Rally team before, so getting the opportunity to be part of something like this was a big deal for us! We are proud to take part, learn from others, and hopefully continue growing and making more memories along the way. Huge thank you to Joseph Hickey Josh Short Justice Thompson Shailey Elaine and for being apart of Brandsville’s very first team Every team has to start somewhere, and we are excited to see what the future holds for Brandsville! 🚒

A huge THANK YOU to the Howell County Officer Association for putting together this event and to all the fire departments that came out, participated, helped, and contributed to making this such a fun and memorable day for everyone. It takes a lot of people working together to make an event like this possible, and we truly appreciate everyone who played a part in it.

We had a great time, gained valuable experience, and made memories that we won’t forget. Here’s to learning, growing, teamwork, and many more rallies to come! Thank you all for making it such a great day! 🔥🚒

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This month, Brandsville Fire Protection District proudly stands with everyone who has been affected by breast cancer — the fighters, the survivors, the families, and those we remember.

With two women proudly serving among our own firefighters, this cause hits close to home and reminds us how important awareness, early detection, and supporting one another truly are.

To everyone fighting this battle: you are not alone.💗

From all of us at Brandsville Fire Protection District, we wear pink this October in support of you.

Stay strong. Keep fighting. 🎀🚒

🚨 IMPORTANT FLEET ANNOUNCEMENT FROM BRANDSVILLE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT🚨

After reviewing the price of diesel fuel, tires, oil changes, brakes, pump repairs, and pretty much everything else required to keep heavy fire apparatus on the road, the Brandsville Fire Protection District has decided it’s time to make some changes.

Effective immediately, we will be selling the entire fleet and switching to these bad boys.😂

Why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a fire truck when you can have a whole fleet of these little fire-breathing three-wheelers?

🔥 Excellent fuel mileage
🔥 Tires are basically wheelbarrow-sized
🔥 Oil changes should take about a quart and a half
🔥 Can turn around in somebody’s driveway
🔥 No DEF system to complain about
🔥 Six of them probably cost less than one set of fire truck tires
🔥 And if we send enough of them, surely that counts as a tanker shuttle

There may be a few minor operational changes.

For structure fires, please be patient while Units 1 through 14 arrive carrying approximately one garden hose worth of water each.

For vehicle accidents, extrication operations will now consist of several firefighters grabbing the car and shaking it until the door opens.

For brush fires, though? *lWe may actually be onto something here. 😂

We appreciate the community's understanding as Brandsville Fire Protection District continues finding innovative ways to stretch a volunteer fire department budget.

If you see 12 of these screaming down Highway 63 with lights and sirens, don't panic. The cavalry is coming. Just... slightly slower than before. 🚒😂

Disclaimer: Before anybody starts calling the board members, we're keeping the fire trucks. 😆

P.S. The burn ban for howell county is still active

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, the Brandsville Fire Protection District pauses to remember one of the darkest days in our nation’s history — and the incredible courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

On September 11, 2001, while thousands were trying to escape the World Trade Center, firefighters were climbing the stairs toward the danger.

They carried hose packs, tools, medical equipment, and the weight of knowing that people above them needed help. Floor after floor, they continued upward while others came down. They did their job because that is what firefighters do — when someone needs help, we go.

343 members of the FDNY never came home that day.

They were firefighters, officers, fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and fellow members of the fire service.

Their sacrifice represents some of the greatest courage and selflessness our profession has ever witnessed.

We also remember the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, civilians, and all others whose lives were taken or forever changed by the attacks. We remember the thousands of responders who worked at Ground Zero in the days and months that followed, many of whom later became sick or lost their lives because of that service.

Twenty-five years later, their example still lives in firehouses across this country — including ours.

May we never forget their courage.

May we never forget their sacrifice.

May we never forget the families who waited for someone who would never walk back through the door.

And may every firefighter continue to understand what those words truly mean:

Never Forget.

To support local ranchers experiencing water shortages for their livestock, our department is available to assist with water transportation as operational capacity permits. Due to constrained budgets and rising fuel costs, we request a donation to offset the expenses associated with vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption. Please note that delivery sites must provide sufficient clearance for our large apparatus and feature relatively level terrain, as our engines are not designed for off-road use. While we can provide transport or short-distance pumping services, we must maintain the ability to redeploy quickly for emergency response. Should you require these services, please contact us to discuss how we may best assist you.

Starting today 9/3/2026 howell county is now in burn ban. Please cease all burning. We are in dangerous fire levels.
