Kick up your heels at our Montgomery branch’s “Line Dancing Class” Wednesday, November 4, 6–7 p.m. Teens and adults of all skill levels are welcome to join our library staff instructors for an hour of fun, movement, and dancing. The Revolution NJ “Revolutionary Lives: Living the American Experience Then and Now” traveling exhibit previously featured at our Montgomery branch is now returning to our Bridgewater branch! Explore an interactive and informative Revolutionary display in the library’s lobby this Thursday, October 29 through Tuesday, November 10. Learn more about New Jersey’s role in the American Revolution through the experiences of everyday people.

As we bring a close to our America 250 programming this year, we want to give a reminder that our 250th Anniversary Beanstack Challenge will be ending on November 15. Make sure to complete and submit all your activities before this date for a chance to win one of our grand prizes!

Great news! Our Bridgewater-Raritan High School Yearbook Collection is becoming available digitally through our Community Memories Digital Archive! Thanks to a generous donation from the School District, our Bridgewater branch added a collection of yearbooks spanning more than fifty years to their local history collection. Our Technical Services team has been uploading these books to our digital archive. The 1962 - 1970 editions are currently available for viewing in our Bridgewater branch anthology with more editions to follow!

Our Community Memories Digital Archive on Bibilioboard provides our patrons the chance to explore and contribute to their community’s history anywhere from their own device. Explore these yearbooks and more located in our archive, link in our bio.

Things are shaping up at the Bound Brook branch and we’re getting ready for something special!

Get a sneak peek on what’s to come for our Bound Brook branch at the upcoming Special Preview Event with the Borough of Bound Brook of Bound Brook! Join us at the library Saturday, October 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a special chance to explore the new space before it’s reopening in early 2027. Enjoy some Halloween festivities and get the opportunity to share feedback on your hopes for the branch’s reopening. We are so excited to share the library’s progress and celebrate the future of the Bound Brook branch together!

Last week our Warren Township branch officially opened their new Cozy Cove Sensory Room in their popular Children’s Play Area!

This newly renovated room provides patrons with a reservable sensory area where they can step away from the action and find space for quiet moments. The Cozy Cove’s design presents a calming atmosphere and features several interactive elements centered on an aquatic theme. A huge thank you to the Warren Library Advisory Board for sponsoring the project and the Warren Friends of the Library for providing supplementary funding. Stop by our Warren Township branch’s Art Space this October through November to check out our featured artist’s rockin’ work! New Jersey artist Daniel Krovatin received an education from Rhode Island School of Design and has had his work shown in a variety of venues ranging from private art galleries to local libraries. Experience his artwork of charcoal on bristol board titled “Rockstars” which explores the impact these depicted artists have had on him as a fellow creator.

Our SCLSNJ furry friend Daisy is making a return to the Bridgewater branch this week! Her journey with us began when she would visit our offices during her Seeing Eye puppy training. Daisy has now become a certified therapy dog and will be joining us for our Bridgewater branch’s upcoming “Therapy Dog Visit” this Thursday, October 22! Stop by the library from 3-4 p.m. to get a mid-day serotonin boost as Daisy and her handler make their way around the library. We can’t wait to welcome Daisy back!
