TRAFFIC UPDATE: As part of a concrete patch project on eastbound and westbound I-96, MDOT will have the following lane closure:

Beginning Friday, October 23rd at 6:00 p.m., westbound I-96 from
D-19 to M-59 will have a double right lane closure until Monday October 26th at 6:00 a.m.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: We will have a Daily Single Lane Closures starting Tuesday October 20th.

Beginning October 20th, weather pending, eastbound Grand River Ave will have a single lane closure from 9:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for bridge surface coating. This closure is expected daily until Thursday, October 22nd.

Beginning Friday, October 9th at 6:00 p.m., eastbound I-96 from

TRAFFIC UPDATE: We will have a significant stage change on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Tuesday, September 22nd at 9:00 a.m., the westbound Grand River Ave to eastbound I-96 on ramp will be closed for 50 days. Traffic will be detoured to continue to Hilton road, to Old US-23, to Spencer Road, to eastbound I-96.

The westbound Grand River Ave to eastbound I-96 ramp will temporarily open on September 26th and 27th for the Destination Star Hollow event and will reclose early Monday morning September 28th. The ramp is expected to permanently re-open to traffic by November 15th at 5:00 p.m.

***TRAFFIC UPDATE:*** Roadway resurfacing has been completed, and no additional nightly closures will be taking place until further notice.

We will have the last stage on the I-96 project from US-23 to Kensington Road starting tonight September 11th.

Beginning Friday, September 11th, eastbound I-96 will be closed nightly from Kensington road to Kent Lake Road from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for road resurfacing.

Traffic will be detoured nightly, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, to exit at Kensington Road, to eastbound Grand River avenue, to Kent lake road, to eastbound I-96. Eastbound I-96 nightly closure for this segment is expected until Friday September 25th at 5:00 a.m.

Beginning today, September 9th, weather pending, eastbound Grand River Ave will have a single lane closure from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for bridge surface coating. This closure is expected daily until Friday, September 11th.

***CLOSURE EXTENDED***

TRAFFIC UPDATE: We will have the third stage on the I-96 project from US-23 to Kensington Road starting Monday August 24th.

Beginning Monday, August 24th, eastbound I-96 will be closed nightly from US-23 to Kensington road along with the northbound and southbound US-23 ramps to eastbound I-96 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for road resurfacing.

Traffic will be detoured nightly from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM to the following morning to take southbound US-23, Lee road, northbound Whitmore lake, eastbound Grand River avenue, Kensington road, to eastbound I-96. Eastbound I-96 nightly closure for this segment is expected until Thursday September 9th at 5:00 a.m.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: As part of a concrete patch project on eastbound and westbound I-96, MDOT will have the following lane closure:

Beginning Friday, August 21st at 6:00 p.m., eastbound I-96 from
M-59 to D-19 will have a double right lane closure until Monday August 24th at 6:00 a.m. This will the second of four weekend closures on both bounds of I-96 to complete the project.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: To repair some damaged guardrail on eastbound I-96, as part of the I-96 reconstruction project, MDOT will have the following lane closure:

Saturday, August 8th from 8:00 am. to 3:00 pm., eastbound I-96, west of Latson Rd. will have a double lane closure. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times on eastbound I-96.
