A credit freeze stops would-be identity thieves from getting your credit report. Anyone can place a credit freeze, and they don’t affect your credit score. Credit freezes last until you lift them. Just contact the three credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
Be cautious of monetary donations through Venmo, CashApp, or Zelle. The scam is the suspect will say, "There was a problem with the transaction, and I need to see your phone." Never give anyone your phone, EVER! They will transfer large sums of money from your account.
