Community Education Council District 15

Brooklyn’s Community Education Council District 15 ensures the voices of parents from our 36 public schools (26 elem, 9 middle & 1 HS) are heard.

Community Education Councils, created by the New York State Legislature, are the local bodies responsible for ensuring that public school parents and the public have input in educational decision-making at the community school district level. I am reaching out because Voces Ciudadanas is building a new Board for our organization with a pro bono consultant to align better with the demands of the org that has surpassed our current capacity.

We are looking for people who are willing to skillshare and volunteer 6 - 10 hours a month to bring Voces, still a small grassroots organization, to its next level.

- Grant Research and Writing
& Membership Development and Staff Capacity Building
