To all families, friends, essential workers, community leaders, small business owners, teachers, first responders, Veterans, and hardworking people of Brooklyn,

My name is Tom Stanten, and I’m running for State Senate because I am focused on serving our community.

I served in the United States Navy, and I am a retired NYPD Detective, K9 bomb detection handler, and also a small business owner in our neighborhood.

It is a pleasure and an honor to meet you all on Sunday, June 7th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Michael A. Rawley Jr. American Legion Post 1636, 193 9th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

We are here for the community! It is time for all of us to be heard. Support our small businesses, improve our public transportation, improve our streets and highway infrastructure, support our State and City workers, create safer streets, lower taxes, and affordable living for all New Yorkers.

From the Verrazzano Bridge to the Brooklyn Bridge — State Senate District 26!

All in-district donations qualify for matching funds, so feel free to invite your friends and family! Please contact me personally if you would like group pricing or would like to support someone who cannot meet the suggested contribution. If you need any special accommodations, we will be happy to help — community first!

Kind regards,
Tom Stanten

GO NEW YORK GO NEW YORK GO

05/25/2026

On this solemn Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave American heroes who gave their last full measure of devotion so we could live in freedom.

Never forgotten. God bless the United States of America!

Today, I stood with my colleague Assemblywoman Jaime Williams in support of her legislation, Assembly bill number 6955C, to crack down on the placement of lithium-ion battery storage facilities in residential neighborhoods.

Last year, I stood with residents in my district to protest a proposed lithium-ion storage site on McDonald Avenue because our communities should not be forced to live next to facilities that raise serious safety and quality-of-life concerns.

Residential neighborhoods are for families, not industrial-scale battery storage operations. I am proud to co-sponsor this legislation (A6955C) to help protect communities across New York State and ensure local residents have a voice when projects like these are proposed in their neighborhoods.

Thank you to Brooklyn's own Senator Steve Chan the Man for his acknowledgement of the great work our EMS workers do in NYC and all over New York State.

Let everyone know

Join us on May 17th in Brighton Beach as we rally to stop Zohran Mamdani and the radical antisemitic, anti-police, anti-American agenda he represents. New York City cannot afford to go further down this dangerous path.

We’re collecting signatures to secure the Stop Mamdani line on the ballot and give New Yorkers a real voice against extremism and chaos.
