Bree Gilliam’s pop-up exhibition at Buffalo Arts Studio was so powerful.

The storytelling in the pieces tapped into a universal vulnerability of getting to know yourself within our complicated society.

Thank you to Buffalo Arts Studio and thank you to Bree Gilliam for your work. 🧡👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

One of the best places to be on a Saturday morning is the evfarmersmarket and govkathyhochul knows it! 🧡

Be sure to support the farmers market into the fall every Saturday from 8-1! 🍎🥦

Recently, I clocked in a new local law, the Erie County Small Business Enterprise Utilization Act. This new law is aiming to establish the Erie County Small Business Enterprise program that will provide additional consideration for certified small businesses in Erie County eligible for County procurments.

Twenty-five years later, we remember September 11, 2001, the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran towards danger.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

August was a month of both celebrating and building in District 2!🧡

My office focused on building this month; we created new partnerships and laid the groundwork for the rest of 2026. This included: Launching a new work-study partnership with Canisius University, pushing to expand opportunities for small businesses, advocating for greater access to healthy, affordable food, and registering community members to vote! 🎉🎉🎉

There is still a lot of work to do, and I am excited about what we can accomplish together.👀👀

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the ribbon cutting of the new location of Dress for Success Buffalo. I’m proud to support this incredible organization and the truly life-changing work they do to empower women in our community.

A special thank you to Executive Director Michelle Barron for her leadership and dedication to women in our community.
