🇺🇸 Happy Constitution Day! 🇺🇸

On September 17, 1787, delegates gathered in Philadelphia for the final meeting of the Constitutional Convention. Thirty-nine delegates’ signatures would appear on the document that established the framework of our government and began with three powerful words: “We the People.”

Constitution Day is more than a remembrance of a document signed 239 years ago. It is an opportunity to remember that self-government depends upon informed and engaged citizens - people willing to understand our Constitution, participate in their communities, and teach the next generation the responsibilities that accompany our freedoms.

As Republican women, we believe civic engagement begins at home in our families, our communities, and in our willingness to show up and serve.

Today, may we celebrate the Constitution, learn from our history, and remember the responsibility entrusted to We the People. 🇺🇸

🤖 AI & SOUTH CAROLINA.
A CONVERSATION WORTH FOLLOWING…

Today, the SC Senate’s new Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence began its work at the State House.

AI is rapidly changing how we work, learn, communicate, do business, and interact with government. As lawmakers begin examining what that means for South Carolina, we encourage citizens to pay attention, ask questions, and stay informed.

Today marks one year since Charlie Kirk’s life was violently taken from this earth.

Beyond the public figure Charlie was a husband, a father, and a man whose Christian faith was central to his life. Today, we remember him and his message while holding Erika, their children, and all those who loved him close in prayer.

Charlie’s death remains a solemn reminder that disagreement should never lead to violence. May we be a nation courageous enough to speak our convictions, gracious enough to listen to one another, and faithful enough to remember that every life has value beyond politics.

Today, we remember. We pray. And we ask God for comfort for his family and healing for our nation.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Matthew 5:9
