Friends of The Camden County Public Library A non-profit organization made up of people who care about Camden County Public Library.

The Friends assist with library programs and participate in community events to educate citizens about the programs as well as services offered at the library.

So much to see and do during Splash week!

What is Splash week?

It’s like a weeklong Open Studio put on by Arts of the Albemarle. Around 50 Artists will pay for a space and converge here in Elizabeth City. They will spend the week painting, sewing, visiting and playing, getting to know one another and our community. It starts Monday and winds down on Saturday.

I’m not an artist, but I like Art. Can I go to any of these things?

Absolutely! AoA and the Madrin studio annex will be open for you to walk around in and you can watch Artists work, purchase art, ask questions, linger or not – whatever you wish. We WANT you to come and be part of it! Take a look at this little schedule up top and see if there’s anything that appeals to you. There are even a couple of free workshops open to anybody. There’s an art talk Thursday morning by Jane Filer that will be wonderful– and the Wednesday night at 6 PM thing about Art and Music is really going to be great. That’s at the McGuire Theatre – second floor in the AoA building, Wednesday night at 6 PM. It’s free!
