3. Blaming enemies — Outsiders, minorities, or political opponents are blamed for the country’s problems.

5. Sexism — Traditional gender roles are strongly promoted and equality is attacked.
6. Controlled media — News and information are censored, manipulated, or controlled.
7. Fear of threats — Constant warnings about dangers are used to justify extreme actions.
8. Religion and government intertwined — Religion is used to support or justify political power.
9. Big business protected — Powerful businesses and wealthy elites become closely tied to government.
10. Unions weakened — Workers' organizations and labor unions are restricted or suppressed.
11. Attacks on intellectuals and artists — Critical thinkers, academics, artists, and their ideas are attacked or dismissed.
12. Obsession with crime and punishment — Harsh policing and punishment are promoted as solutions to social problems.
13. Cronyism and corruption — Political allies and loyalists are rewarded with power, money, or special treatment.
14. Rigged elections — Elections are manipulated, opposition is weakened, or voters don't have a real choice.
