Council also authorized an agreement for Stockton Ave Bridge maintenance engineering services.
Additionally, the Council provided feedback on the Beach Lifeguard Service organizational study findings, including organizational structure, operational priorities, and next steps for future Council consideration. Capitola's City Hall will be closed on Monday, October 12th in recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day. Capitola recognizes that it stands upon the ancestral homeland of the Aptos, Casjataca, and Uypi peoples.

The mural pictured in this image (The First Peoples of Capitola Fishing and Foraging at the Beach and Lagoon) was designed by Ann Thiermann for the Capitola Historical Museum. It focuses on the specific seafood and means of gathering edible resources from the sea and creek by local Cajastaca and Uypi peoples in the Aptos area during the pre-Spanish period. For more information, please contact the Capitola Historical Museum.
