Reminder! It’s time to clear out unwanted household items and make room for a fresh start. A Recology King County Curbside Cleanup Event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th in Carnation.

Residential customers may place up to 8 bags or individual items at the curb on each event day. Items must weigh less than 60 pounds and must be no larger than 3½ feet in any dimensions.

The following items are not accepted:
- Tires
- Large metal items, such as bicycles
- White Goods
- Hazardous material
- Special waste

November is National Bone Marrow Awareness Month! Join us for the City of Carnation Bloodworks Northwest blood drive on Tuesday, November 3.

Every 3-4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer. - The City Manager was authorized to enter into an agreement with Fury Construction for the 2026 Alley Grading Project.
- The City Manager was authorized to enter into an agreement with P&A Civil for the 2026 Sidewalk and ADA Repair Project.
- A public hearing was held to consider extending a moratorium for project permitting applications for major utility developments that involve storage or generation of electricity.
- A public hearing was held to consider extending a moratorium for filing and accepting development applications for secure community transition facilities.
- King County Library System Regional Manager Denise Bugallo presented on Carnation Library programs.
- SnoValley Pride Executive Director Greg Jamiel presented on how Carnation Cares grant funding contributed to the Pride Picnic.
- The temporary six (6) month moratorium for project permitting applications for major utility developments that involve storage or generation of electricity was extended for an additional six (6) months.
- The temporary six (6) month moratorium for filing and accepting development applications for secure community transition facilities was extended for an additional six (6) months.
- Council imposed the children’s and family services sales and use tax authorized by House Bill 2442 RCW 14.542.
- The City Manager was authorized to amend the Professional Services Agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc. to include a South Fork Tolt Dam Incident Annex as part of the City's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP).
