Have you driven by Peace Corner and wondered why some of us wear reflective vests? That's our safety team! Peace Corner is meant to be a peaceful expression of political dissent. A place where like-minded people can feel empowered, emboldened, and expressive. Those in the yellow vests sometimes put themselves between our dissent and the nefarious. Be sure to thank them today at Peace Corner!

We're on our way to Peace Corner, we heard there's going to be a trans visibility rally today! We create space for those who have been pushed to the sidelines by society. The lack of understanding is no excuse for the blatant discrimination against our friends, family, and neighbors. Today, we show the Eden Area that the trans community is here, and we will always provide a safe space for them to go beyond just existing, but to thrive.

Pick your issue, flock cameras? Immigrants? Billionaire tax? Illegal wars? Corruption? Healthcare? Social security? Abolish ICE? Free Palestine? Protect National Parks and monuments? The power we have to fix all of those issues and more can be found in our votes! We're officially in Get Out the Vote season (GOTV). Help us show what hot button issues people should consider when voting.

Today we have a special theme for Peace Corner.
Flock Cameras have been popping up all around the world. These cameras are sold as a tool for police to utilize in their efforts to "keep us safe." However, you can easily find story after story of police misusing these cameras, stalking exes. They have also been shown to be in violation of our right to privacy. Sure, our phones follow us everywhere, but we opt in to that tracking, we don't have a choice with flock.

The cameras are also easily hacked by other government agencies and regular people. These cameras are dangerous, a violation, and down right Orwellian. The Alameda County Board of Supervisors have decided your privacy doesn't matter, today, we tell them it does. In fact, it's crucial for them keeping their job, if they don't protect us than we need to vote them out at the soonest opportunity.

trump is ending the ceasefire with Iran again, effectively raising the cost of living around the world and for what? Well, our president is a snowflake who is a terrible loser and lets his emotions drive him. He's just such an emotional guy. However, the slightly better bet is that it is all to keep us out of the Epstein files. Come remind everyone that our president and many other influential figures are in those files.

We are on the eve of the 250th anniversary of our nation. It's a bittersweet celebration. We should celebrate the community around us and the ideals our nation claims to stand for around the world. We should also be aware that the path here is not without missteps. Here's the thing about mistakes, they teach us; we grow from them. They are the fertilizer that feeds a garden filled with diversity and beauty.

Republicans and even some Dems try to hide our mistakes, they see them as imperfections. They are right, they are imperfections and many of them didn't have to happen. However, they did and so we have a choice: do we use those mistakes to grow or do we allow them to simply cover us in sh**? We choose growth. Grow with us at Peace Corner today.

"While there is a lower class, I am in it, while there is a criminal element, I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free." - E.V. Debbs

We are in it, of it, and none of us are free under a fascist regime. It is time for you to stand for your rights and the rights of those around you. One thing you can never forget, fascism comes for all, eventually.
