Roads, sidewalks, traffic signals and trails don’t maintain themselves.
They require ongoing investment and long-term planning to stay safe and reliable as they age.
Centennial is working to plan ahead for the infrastructure residents rely on every day.

A great day on the trail is even better when it takes you somewhere new! 🚵🏞️
Earlier this month, Centennial joined regional partners to celebrate the opening of the High Plains Trail connection—a long-awaited link between the Cherry Creek Regional Trail and High Plains Trail—providing more miles to ride. More places to run. More ways to explore. 💙💛
This new connection helps bring communities, open spaces and regional trails together while making it safer and easier to cross Parker Road.

Update: Traffic Shift on E. Arapahoe Road Postponed
(Posted 5/29/26) - The traffic shift originally scheduled for overnight on May 31 on E. Arapahoe Road between S. Revere Parkway and S. Potomac Street has been postponed due to design modifications that will help ensure the safe and continuous flow of traffic throughout construction.
As a result, the planned traffic reconfiguration has been postponed until further notice. Additional information will be shared as a new schedule is finalized.

Traffic shifts on E. Arapahoe Road begin overnight Sunday, May 31
As work continues on the Lone Tree Creek Trail Underpass Project, motorists can expect long-term lane shifts, narrowed lanes and turn restrictions between S. Revere Parkway and S. Potomac Street for the next several months.
Key Impacts Include:
- Overnight lane closures Sunday–Tuesday
- Daytime lane closures Wednesday–Friday
- Left turns restricted at E. Arapahoe Road & S. Revere Parkway
- Reduced speed limit through the work zone
- Three lanes in each direction maintained during peak travel hours
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes such as S. Peoria Street or S. Potomac Street.
