Justice4Gianna

Justice4Gianna My precious granddaughter was born May 8, 2025, perfectly healthy. Heartbreakingly, she died 13 days later following serious injuries.

Tyler Jon William Hynne has been indicted and arrested, and we're now moving through the court process.

Case Update⚖️
Last week's hearing resulted in another continuance, but we now have a trial date scheduled for April 26, 2027.

While we respect the legal process, it has been exhausting to endure delay after delay. Each continuance extends the grief, uncertainty, and waiting that we continue to carry.

The defendant has been given another opportunity and more time. Another Thanksgiving. Another Christmas with his family.

Our family has not been given that same luxury. With another holiday season approaching, we are reminded that Gianna never had the chance to celebrate her first Thanksgiving or her first Christmas. Those precious moments were taken from her and from all of us who loved her.

Meanwhile, our daughter Kendall, our family, and everyone who continues to stand beside us are left waiting for the day this case is finally heard.

We remain committed to seeing this through. We will continue to show up, continue to speak Gianna's name, and continue to fight for the justice she deserves.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, prayed for us, and helped keep Gianna's memory alive.

Case Update: Another Continuance ⚖️

The motions hearing originally scheduled for this Friday is being postponed. The defense has requested a continuance, and we have been informed by the District Attorney's office that the court is likely to grant the delay.

It is incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating to face yet another extension. This delay means the defendant may spend a second Christmas with his family while ours continues to navigate the unimaginable pain of losing Gianna.

Gianna died just 13 days after she was born, from injuries at the center of this case. She will never get to celebrate Christmas, laugh, grow, or make memories with the people who love her. Our family must face another holiday without the precious little girl who should still be here.

As these continuances extend the process and test our strength, they do not change our resolve. We continue to hope for accountability and for the justice Gianna deserves.

Thank you to everyone who stands beside us, remembers Gianna, and keeps our family in your hearts.

Justice for Gianna. Always. 💜

I just had to share this bittersweet video! When Kendall went to visit Gianna recently, Gianna was there to meet her (with her butterfly wings)! 🦋😭 Each time I view it, I get goosebumps.

Some days the missing hits harder than others. My granddaughter, Gianna, should be here — growing, laughing, learning, living. Instead, we’re left with memories of her tiny hands, her quiet breaths, and the love she brought in her short time on earth.

We’re still waiting for justice, and the waiting is its own kind of heartbreak. But I believe her spirit is with us. I believe she sees us fighting for her. And I believe justice will come, even if the road is long.

I miss you, baby girl.
Always.

Tyler pleaded not guilty on Friday, which came as no surprise. Yesterday, a trial date was set for December 7th with a new judge, allowing 5–6 days for proceedings.
I’ll continue to honor Gianna and post anything relevant to our journey. Thank you for your continued support.

Hello everyone!
Sorry for not keeping in touch, but there hasn’t been much news since my last update. The arraignment is set for this Friday morning, and we’re hoping there won’t be another delay and that he will finally enter a plea, and we can move on to an actual trial.
We’ve been warned that his defense might once again try to delay the process. You might not remember, but the first court date after Tryler’s indictment and arrest was last August. After six court appearances and two arrests for bond violations, the only progress is that a judge has ruled there’s enough evidence to proceed with Tyler’s trial.
This has been a real eye-opener about our justice system. Defendants get delay after delay for all sorts of reasons, while victims are left waiting, endlessly. We’re on the shorter end of that spectrum. For some victims, it can take many years, and for others, justice never comes.
Thank you for your continued support, love and strength. I'll get an update out over the weekend.
