🏈 With our final official games wrapping up yesterday evening, we want to thank everyone who helped make this season of Flag Football, Tackle Football, and Spirit Squad a success!

🌟 Thank you to Concrete Elite Dance Company for all the time, energy, and enthusiasm you put into Spirit Squad! We appreciate your work with our young participants and the excitement you brought to our flag football sidelines throughout the season.

✨ To all our volunteer coaches, thank you for the hours you spent planning, teaching skills, encouraging players, and helping our kids grow. These programs depend on people willing to give their time, and we are grateful for everything you do!

💫 Thank you to CPU Athletic Director Mike Halac for helping make it possible for our tackle teams to play on the high school field! We appreciate your help coordinating facility access, answering our game-day questions, and ensuring we were ready to go. Thank you for supporting our youth football program!

⭐ Thank you to the high school football players who volunteered to referee our flag football games! Your willingness to spend time helping younger players means a lot to our program and the kids who look up to you.

A special shoutout to Coach Bark and Karter Duffy for helping ensure we had referees lined up for every flag football game this season. Thank you for your time and commitment to making it all happen!

To our players, Spirit Squad participants, and families, thank you for being part of the season and cheering each other on along the way!

What an incredible first season for the Center Point Parks & Recreation Spirit Squad! We are so thankful for the partnership to create this program!

From learning cheers and building confidence to cheering on our flag football teams, these young athletes brought so much energy, enthusiasm, and spirit to the sidelines!

This season was about so much more than cheers and pom-poms. It was about building friendships, learning teamwork, stepping outside comfort zones, and creating memories that will last long after the final game. 💛

A HUGE thank you to our volunteer coaches, families, and the Center Point Parks & Rec program for helping make this first season possible! We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with our community and introduce these young athletes to the joy of cheerleading.

And to our Spirit Squad athletes — we are SO proud of you! Your smiles, excitement, and dedication made this season something special!

🍁 🎃 What a great morning at Fross Park! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the 2026 Harvest Festival such a success!

Enjoy pumpkin decorating, Trunk or Treat, inflatables, games, and more! The Center Point American Legion - IA Post 297 will provide trail rides, CPU Cheerleading will offer face painting, and DJ Bobby will keep the music going.

Come hungry for food from the Center Point Lions, and browse vendors offering crafts, baked goods, custom hats, and other items for sale.

Bring your family and friends, and help us spread the word. We hope to see you Saturday!

🇺🇸 Center Point is ready to welcome America 250 relay participants!

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 3, participants will travel the trail from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids. We're looking forward to welcoming them to Center Point, and we invite visitors to stop by the depot.

Enjoy a few holes of bucket golf on Saturday! Equipment and instructions are available so you can play at your own pace.

🏛 Explore Local History
The depot and log cabin will be open Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Take a break from the trail and stop inside for a look around!

Thank you to the Center Point Historical Society and its volunteers for opening the depot and cabin for the day.

Our flag football, tackle football, and Spirit Squad participants enjoyed taking the field during the varsity football game for Youth Night last Friday, followed by flag football games and Spirit Squad performances on Sunday. Check out some of the highlights below!

Thank you to Center Point-Urbana Schools and the Center Point-Urbana Football program for welcoming us to Youth Night and allowing our youth tackle teams to play on the high school field! We also appreciate the high school players who referee our flag games, our volunteer coaches, sponsors, and Concrete Elite Dance Company for partnering with us to offer Spirit Squad. Your time and support make these opportunities possible!
