The annual AWL soup luncheon was a terrific event. And it's always fun to participate in the making of our delicious soup! I had fun Monday helping in preparation, plus fun baking some cakes for the dessert table. Watch for this event next year! Thanks to ALL who came out to enjoy the lunch and help our fundraiser succeed! What a great community we have here!

Wadesboro Civitan Club is hosting a Fall Chili Luncheon on Tuesday, October 31, at the Fireman's Training Building (on Chief Pope Street just off N. Washington Street).
Lunch will be offered from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Lunch includes chili with all the fixin's, crackers, cheese, sour cream, and dessert for eat-ins. Dine-in, take out, or delivery is available (advance reservations only). For delivery reservations, call (704) 694-3185 before 1: 00 PM on October 30.

Mark your calendars! The annual Anson Women's League Soup Luncheon is set for February 14, Valentine's Day! From 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM, we'll be serving our famous vegetable beef soup, toasted cheese sandwiches, your choice of homemade dessert, and tea, all for only $7.00! This will be held at First Baptist Church in Wadesboro.
