Hi, my name is Kadi Leonor Caballero, and I’m from Richmond, Virginia. I graduated from Longwood University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Communication Studies. Over the past three years, I have worked in Therapeutic & Immigration Foster Care, where I recruited & licensed foster parents while also supporting & working closely with youth in foster homes. My experience in child welfare has been extremely meaningful, & I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children & families within the foster care system.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active & participating in fitness classes such as Pilates, spin, & yoga. I value maintaining a healthy balance between personal wellness & professional responsibilities, & I believe self-care is an important part of overall well-being.

She spoke with our Licensing Specialist about licensure and recruitment in the state of North Carolina. Emilia also interviewed one of our current parents who shared her experience as a therapeutic foster parent.
