Grier's Gallery

Grier's Gallery was at the 9th Annual Cookies For Kids' Cancer Bake Sale sharing about the mission of the program and raising money by selling the limited edition notecards made by the first children to benefit from Grier's Gallery. The money raised is used for supplies for it to continue- thanks to our volunteers that have their time yesterday to share about the good things it does at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital.

A beautiful afternoon at Grier's Gallery with teacher and artist Andrea Downs. She helped the patients create a huge heart as we discussed holiday traditions, peace and love.

We loved having Dr. Michelle Lorraine Rivera M.D. Artist and MD as our guest artist this month! She taught patients how to collage and create dogs!

Thanks to artist Andrea Downs for coming to Grier's Gallery and doing printmaking with fall leaves with our patients! And a big high five to our committee volunteers Sharon and Catherine!

Thank YOU to everyone that sent items from the wish list in honor of Grier's birthday-- Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital sent a note to us to say how excited they were to receive these much needed supplies-- thanks again and know that your gifts are being used by the kids in the hospital.

"Our" Grier should be blowing out 12 candles today and celebrating his elementary school graduation. Please honor him and his legacy by donating ART supplies today or this week at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital Belk House. Pass it on. He always did!

Grier should be turning 12 on June 8th- he should be "graduating" from elementary school and getting ready to head to middle school if pediatric cancer never would have been a part of his story... Unfortunately that is not the case.. His life ended too early at the age of nine because of Neuroblastoma. In honor of his upcoming birthday I am sharing this post. Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital is in need of art supplies for their patients. (See post below)
