Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❣️

⚖️Day 3: Heart of Jesus, worthy of all praise
🙏O most Sacred, most loving Heart of Jesus, Thou art concealed in the Holy Eucharist, and Thou beatest for us still… I worship Thee then with all my best love and awe, with my fervent affection, with my most subdued, most resolved will. O my God, when Thou dost condescend to suffer me to receive Thee, to eat and drink Thee, and Thou for a while takest up Thy abode within me, O make my heart beat with Thy Heart” (Meditations and Devotions, London, 1912, Part III [XVI], par. 3, pp. 573-574).

Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❣️

From June 3-11, join us in praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as we prepare for the United States bishops to consecrate the US to the Sacred Heart.

❤️‍🔥Day 1: Heart of Jesus, aflame with love for us
🙏Lord, I come to Your tender Heart today, to You who have words that set my heart ablaze, to You who pour out compassion on the little ones and the poor, on those who suffer, and on all human miseries. I desire to know You more, to contemplate You in the Gospel, to be with You and learn from You and from the charity with which You allowed Yourself to be touched by all forms of poverty. You showed us the Father’s love by loving us without measure with Your divine and human Heart. Grant all Your children the grace of encountering You. Change, shape, and transform our plans, so that we seek only You in every circumstance: in prayer, in work, in encounters, and in our daily routine. From this encounter, send us out on mission, a mission of compassion for the world in which You are the source from which all consolation flows. Amen.

Pope Leo XIV’s June Prayer Intention:

Let us all pray together that sports be an instrument of peace, encounter, and dialogue among cultures and nations, and that they promote values such as respect, solidarity, and personal growth.

Magnifica Humanitas (Magnificent Humanity) is Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical—a powerful call to reflect on our shared future. In it, the Holy Father shines the light of the Church’s social tradition on today’s challenges, reminding us that “history is the place where the Gospel challenges and directs human experience” (no. 2).

As we journey through Magnifica Humanitas, we are invited to join Pope Leo in discerning how rapid technological change impacts our lives and communities. The Pope urges us to keep human dignity at the heart of every innovation, especially in this age of AI.

Let us use his words to reflect on the grandeur of humanity as we act in a way that honors the Church's legacy of social justice.

🕊️‼️On May 4, Pope Leo XIV met with senior leadership across the Catholic Charities network at the Vatican, thanking them for their hard work across 169 agencies serving more than 16 million people in need every year.

The Holy Father reminded the team that when we serve those in need, we encounter the body of Christ, and that our work is not just humanitarian, but holy.

For May 2026, Pope Leo XIV urges Catholics to join him in praying that everyone might have food.

Lamenting that so many goods are wasted at our tables, Pope Leo prayed that the Lord may “awaken in us a new awareness: that we learn to give thanks for every food, to consume simply, to share with joy, and to care for the fruits of the earth as a gift from You, destined for all, not just a few.” He prayed that Jesus make us capable of “transforming the logic of selfish consumption into a culture of solidarity,” through our communities by promoting concrete gestures, including awareness campaigns, food banks, and a sober and responsible lifestyle.

According to the World Food Programme’s 2026 Global Outlook, 318 million people will face food crisis or even worse situations this year. The organization warns that the conflict in the Middle East could push an additional 45 million people into facing dire hunger before the middle of this year.

This intention, for those to have access to safe food, comes from the Pope’s heart. It is important as fellow humans we refuse to remain indifferent, but choose to take action, first with prayer, then with concrete gestures of solidarity.
