Monroe Police Seek Assistance in Shooting

Monroe Police Department is requesting for anyone with information regarding the shooting that happened last night in the Icemorlee apartment complex to come forward.

On Thursday night at 8:45 PM, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 –block of Icemorlee St. The first officer there located a person in the parking lot area suffering from a gunshot wound. The officer immediately began life-saving measures until EMS arrived. That male was identified as Brandon Williams, 29, of Marshville. He was transported to a Charlotte area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The initial investigation appears that there was an argument in the parking lot between Williams and another person. The two exchanged gunfire and Williams was shot.
This is an active, ongoing investigation.

If you have information related to this case, please call Monroe Police Department at 704-282-4700 or Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.
