Women's Shelter (UNCC SIFE)

This was a project I did in college and I keep this page open to be of assistance to anyone who reaches out.
I am sadly not a shelter but I will do my best to help those who need it connect the dots and seek help. The Women's Shelter is a non-profit, community service project that is a part of UNC Charlotte SIFE (www.facebook.com/sifeunccharlotte). We are working closely with a battered women's shelter called CVAN (CVAN.org). Our job this year is to help them collect clothes and housewares donations in order to help fund their 24/7 emergency hotline for at least 6 months.

30 Numbers That Prove Domestic Violence Is An American Epidemic The number of American troops killed in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2012 was 6,488. The number of American women who were murdered by current or ex male partners during that time was 11,766.
It's been a while since anything was posted! Hoping that this project will make it back to the ENACTUS roster! Wishing I was still there to lead it!

Only 4 more bags left to go through and then we will have an official total for clothing drive! We will let you guys know the final total very soon :) Thanks for all the hard work ladies!
NEW TOTAL: $4,798.36!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have no paid for their entire phone bill for 12 months, and we still have more bags to sort. KEEP the clothes coming!!
