Hello Cavalier Families,
This is Dr. McKay with this week’s important information.
Please complete this form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJaOprmrmmIWUQOnSa_XXwNz8WS_0i8UZ18XVcQ4IS1EEtqw/viewform) if your child will require bus transportation for the 2026-2027 school year. Accurate transportation information helps us ensure students are assigned to the correct bus route before the start of school.
Please complete one form per student. If your transportation needs change during the school year, notify the school as soon as possible.
Thank you for helping us prepare for a smooth and successful school year!
We will be having our Annual Cavalier Celebration Tuesday, 5/19. This event is FREE to all! Our students will be receiving celebration tickets to redeem for activities and treats. Tickets are distributed based on EOG performance including attendance on the scheduled test day, usage of white-paper strategies, proficiency, and growth. Tickets will be used instead of money to participate in a number of fun activities such as dodgeball, corn hole, relay races, dunk tank and concession purchases. Students are encouraged to bring a little spending money in case they’d like to pay for any of the activities or treats after their tickets are all gone.
Please encourage your child to bring: a hat, sunscreen, and their water bottle on Tuesday as we will be outside for an hour.
Report cards will be distributed to students on the last day of school rather than being mailed home this year. If your child does not attend the last day of school, then their report card will be available for pick up during the Teacher Workdays of 5/21 and 5/22 as well as 5/26-5/29 from 9:00-3:00.
Thank you and have a great evening!
Hello Cavalier Families,
This is Dr. McKay with this week’s important information.
End of Grade testing continues this week! Please ensure that your student gets a good night’s rest each night and eats a good breakfast each day before testing. We also want all students to be on time for testing, so please take advantage of the free breakfast available at school. Our students have worked so hard all year long and now is the time to show what they have learned. Students, we are proud of you and we believe in you!
The WCF Sports Banquet is tomorrow, 5/11 for any athlete who has returned their form and money to Coach Brown. The 6th grade band concert will be on 5/12 at 6:45 in the WCF auditorium.
We have double spirit nights this week - Penn Station on Tuesday, 5/12 and Hungry Howie’s on Thursday, 5/14.
We have received many calls asking about awards day. Any student who is being recognized will receive an invitation for their family this week. It is not necessary to attend awards day if your child does not bring home an invitation.
Good Afternoon Cavalier Families,
This is Dr. McKay with an update regarding a false fire alarm at school today. Our fire alarm went off unexpectedly this afternoon after all testing was completed. Students evacuated quickly and safely. The fire department checked our facility and determined that it was safe to re-enter. I want to assure you that your students have now returned to learning.

This is Teacher Appreciation Week and I know that your child’s teachers would love to receive a nice note from you or your child to remind them of what they mean to you.

Hello Cavalier Families,
This is Dr. McKay with this week’s important information.
End-of-Grade (EOG) testing is quickly approaching, and we are in need of parent volunteers to serve as proctors during testing sessions. Proctors play an important role in helping ensure a smooth and secure testing environment for all students. Proctoring is a great way to support our school and your student! No prior experience is necessary—clear instructions and guidance will be provided before testing begins. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Testing Coordinator, Ms. Ward, at [email protected] to sign up.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our 8th grade parents and all PTO members who made the 8th grade dance a big success this weekend!
Teacher appreciation week begins Monday 5/4 and EOG testing begins Thursday, 5/7.
Athletic events this week include:
Baseball and girls soccer @ Mt. Holly, Monday 4/27; Track County Championship, 4/29; girls soccer playoff details are to be determined but will be played on Thursday 4/30
