Good evening parents this is Ms. Knick Principal of Tryon Elementary School

We have had a fabulous week of testing and look forward to seeing everyone at the Grade Level Awards program as well as 5th Grade Graduation.

Tuesday, May 19 is Awards Day in the Gymnasium at Tryon. We will use the gate beside the parking lot as the entrance for guests. Guests will check in at the table and then will be directed to the gymnasium. We will open the gate 15 minutes prior to each award proram. Just a reminder that all guests must be on the students contact list to attend.

Awards Day Schedule:
Kindergarten 8:30
1st Grade 9:30
2nd Grade 10:30
3rd Grade 11:30
4th Grade 12:30

Tuesday, May 19 5th Grade Graduation will begin at 6:00 at WB Beam Intermediate Starnes Auditorium.

Wednesday, May 20 is the last day of school for students. Report Cards will be sent home with students. If your student is absent, please stop by the school to pick up their report card.

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we have a couple important reminders:

📚 Yearbooks are still on sale!
You can purchase online at jostens.com or send $15 exact cash or a check to school with your student.

📖 Please help us locate and return all library books.
Check common hiding spots like under beds, under car seats, on bookshelves, in backpacks, and even siblings’ rooms. We would much rather have the books returned than collect money for lost items!

I want to thank everyone for making attendance matter and students being present and on time to school. Students in 3rd and 4th grade will receive their EOG test scores on Monday. Students in 5th grade will get their EOG test scores on Tuesday. It is really important that students retest their EOG if they are not proficient, as it gives students a chance to improve their test scores and it supports the school.

What an amazing EOG Pep Rally we had today! 🎉 Our students had a blast with fun games, great music, and an energetic dance party to get everyone excited and motivated. The school spirit was through the roof, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces!

As a reminder, EOG testing begins tomorrow. Please make sure students get a good night’s rest and arrive at school on time, ready to do their very best. We believe in each and every one of them.

Mrs. Craft is known for her kindness and caring heart. She is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed and brings a smiling, friendly presence to everyone around her. A true team player, she goes above and beyond each day, and her positive attitude is contagious!
