Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we cherish each day.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave everything in service to our nation and for the families who carry their memory forward.

On behalf of Bill Baggs and our Clerk of Court team, we extend our deepest appreciation to our fallen heroes and their loved ones. May we never forget their sacrifice.

I’m incredibly proud of our staff and the level of dedication, professionalism, and service they provide — not only to the public, but to everyone who walks through our courtroom doors.

Receiving this message from a visiting judge meant so much:

“Good morning. I wanted to let you know that your court clerks are fantastic! It can be difficult on visiting judges with county-specific procedures. Anne was beside me this week and not only had everything I asked for when I asked for it but anticipated what I needed and had it ready. Also gave me things I didn’t know I needed. So, I just thought I would let you know that the two Clerks you had with me this week are among the best I have had in my 6 years as a Judge. Thank you.”

A special shoutout to Anne and the team for representing our office so well. Their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to helping others never goes unnoticed. We are truly fortunate to have such an amazing staff serving our county each day. ❤️

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support—not only throughout the recent campaign, but also during the recent filing for removal process.

Your encouragement, kind words, and continued belief in me have meant more than I can truly put into words. Walking through this season, I’ve been reminded just how strong and supportive our community is.

As of today, the Judge has officially ruled in our favor, and the petition for removal from office has been dismissed.

I remain committed, now more than ever, to continue serving this community with integrity, transparency, and the level of service you deserve. It is truly an honor to continue in this role as Cabarrus County Clerk of Court.

One of the most important (and often overlooked) roles on the ballot is Clerk of Superior Court. The Clerk of Court plays a vital role in our community — handling estates, special proceedings, guardianships, adoptions, foreclosures, and maintaining court records. It’s a position that requires integrity, organization, fairness, and a true heart for public service.

Local elections shape our daily lives more than we sometimes realize. These are the offices that directly serve our families, our neighbors, and our community.

It was a great day at early voting seeing so many familiar faces and having the chance to speak with voters. Moments like these are a reminder of how special our community truly is.

I’m especially thankful that some of my family was able to finish up at the polls today showing their support and helping greet voters. Family means everything to me, and their encouragement reminds me why I care so deeply about serving the citizens of Cabarrus County.

It has been an honor to serve as your Clerk of Court, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue that service for the next four years.
