UPDATED ENDORSERS: Join grassroots organizations, community members, and students this Wednesday to protest and march against CMPD's racist policing!

1. Release the text messages of all officers in the racist group chat, fire them immediately, and strip their certification.
2. Immediately release the bodycam footage of Curtis Massey’s murder and investigate and prosecute the killer cop Jamal McClain.
3. Reopen the investigation into Juliana Nzita’s hanging.
4. Cancel CMPD's existing Flock surveillance contract and commit to not acquiring any new Flock or other automated surveillance system contracts.

🚨 PROTEST: NO RACIST, KILLER COPS!

At least seven Charlotte police officers have been caught sending racist texts and slurs. But these cops aren't just a few "bad apples"—they are symptoms of a fundamentally racist and broken policing system.

CMPD recently murdered Curtis Massey, a 47-year old Black father—and still there is no justice or even bodycam footage. CMPD also refused to conduct an autopsy after Juliana Nzita, a 16-year old Black girl, was found hanging from a tree in May. And, CMPD was recently exposed to have a secret contract with Flock's AI mass surveillance system. These same technologies were used to falsely imprison a Black man in Charlotte, Jalil Richardson, for months after he was misidentified by AI.

We are demanding immediate action to address CMPD's repeated pattern of racist policing: 

1. Release the names and text messages of all officers in the racist group chat, and fire them immediately. 
2. Immediately release the bodycam footage of Curtis Massey’s murder and investigate and prosecute the killer cop Jamal McClain.
3. Reopen the investigation into Juliana Nzita’s hanging.
4. Cancel CMPD's existing Flock surveillance contract and commit to not acquiring any new Flock or other automated surveillance system contracts.

Today, dozens of JCSU students marched on the Charlotte police department to protest the death of Nolan Wells, an 18-year old Black college football player who was found dead in Mississippi. Despite evidence of foul play, our government is refusing to investigate further. 

Here in Charlotte, CMPD refused to even conduct an autopsy after Juliana Nzita, a 16-year old Black girl was found hanging from a tree in May. Weeks ago, CMPD murdered a Black father, Curtis Massey, and they still haven’t released the bodycam. And just days ago, six CMPD officers were exposed for using the n-word and making racist jokes in a group chat.

We’re here to demand justice, accountability, and an end to the war on Black America. This system is rotten, it’s racist, and we must organize to end it. Justice for Nolan Wells, Curtis Massey, and Juliana Nzita!

🚨CMPD is entangled in ANOTHER racist scandal—this time, six officers were caught texting racial slurs.

But these aren't just a few "bad apples". CMPD recently murdered Curtis Massey—and still there is no justice or even bodycam footage. CMPD also refused to conduct an autopsy after Juliana Nzita, a 16-year old Black girl, was found hanging from a tree.

It's clear our "justice" system is racist and rotten at the core. We must organize to replace it.
