We are actively calling on the people of Charlotte to stand with immigrants this Friday 11/21 and join in a shutdown. Close your businesses, call out of work, walk out of school. Help us get the word out and show solidarity with our immigrant communities!
Join us this Friday, Nov. 21st for a citywide day of action: call out of work, close your small business, walkout of school, and join a demonstration in East Charlotte at 5:30pm outside Manolo’s Bakery.

SHUT DOWN CHARLOTTE FOR IMMIGRANT RIGHTS!
This Friday, thousands of Charlotteans will be shutting down the city because we know that this city cannot run without immigrants!
Here’s how you can help:
1) SPREAD THE WORD AND CREATE AS MUCH BUZZ AS POSSIBLE:
Post the graphic to your page and say why you’re joining the shutdown!
Send the graphic to friends, family, & coworkers and encourage them to also post.
Ask businesses to put up posters and join the shutdown.

FRI, NOV 21: SHUT DOWN CHARLOTTE FOR IMMIGRANT RIGHTS! Border Patrol and ICE are terrorizing Charlotte—already, hundreds of people have been detained and brutalized, entire immigrant communities have shut down, tens of thousands of children are too scared to go to class, and our economy is grinding to a halt.
We must all unite—we cannot let immigrant workers be terrorized and isolated. We know immigrants and workers make this city run. We can shut it down and demand what’s right: ICE and Border Patrol out of our city!
We need to shut down business as usual, and demonstrate that the people of Charlotte stand with our immigrant neighbors!
