From the battlefield to the home front, the mission continues. The experiences, the bonds, and the lessons learned in service to our nation will forever be a part of me. As I transition into the next chapter, I carry the strength, discipline, and resilience that the military has instilled in me.

Thirteen years of partnership between K-State and the and Fort Riley have produced multiple long-lasting accomplishments in what President Richard Myers called “our two communities, really just one community.” The two have blurred the lines within the Fort Riley and Manhattan communities through community events and a strong working partnership, here’s to even more future collaborations! .

1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division cased their colors yesterday as they move to support our NATO allies and partners in . Devil Brigade's commander, COL Brian E. McCarthy, and CSM Levares Jackson participated in the Color Casing Ceremony last night.

To my comrades in arms: Thank you for your unwavering loyalty, your brotherhood, and your belief in our mission. To my family and friends: Your support has been my bedrock, and now more than ever, I look forward to spending more time with you, sharing stories, and creating new memories.
Service never truly ends; it just takes on new forms. I am ready for what comes next, knowing that the lessons of the past will light the path forward.

The strength of and the 🇺🇸 🇱🇻 partnership is our unity. Thank you to Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and Defense Minister Artis Pabriks for joining Ambassador Carwile and Major General Douglas Sims II, Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division, in visiting American soldiers recently deployed to Lielvarde Air Base. As the Prime Minister stated, the presence of Allied forces in is proof of NATO's commitment to defend its member states.

Today, the Major General Douglas A. Sims II of the 1st Infantry Division, and the 77th Colonel of the Regiment and 1st Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment - War Eagles SCO, and CSM Raymond S. Harris visited Dragoons from across the Regiment. 1ID is the forward deployed command headquarters for Operation Atlantic Resolve in Poland.
