🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Talbert Road Nighttime Closure

N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will temporarily close Talbert Road just north of N.C. 150 during overnight hours as part of the N.C. 150 widening project.

📅 June 3-5
⏰ 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.

The closure will allow crews to install storm drainage across the roadway. Talbert Road will reopen by 6 a.m. each morning.

🚗 Drivers will follow a signed detour using N.C. 150, Corporate Center Drive and Oates Road.

Please use caution when traveling near the work zone, follow posted signs and allow extra time to reach your destination safely.

Starting this week, Duke Energy and its contractors will make essential grid upgrades in the Langtree area to improve reliability and prevent outages.

📍 Eastport Trail, Eastport Ln, Soule Ln and Starwood Dr.
🚧 Temporary lane closures and traffic shifts in the area.
👷‍♂️ Upgrading poles, wire, and installing new equipment.

Those customers impacted by a planned outage will receive advance notification via automated call, text, or a door hanger.

Town of Mooresville Enhanced Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures are in effect starting today, June 1.

To protect our community's water supply, irrigation systems (in-ground and automatic) and the use of hose-end sprinklers are moving to a 2-day schedule: Tuesdays & Saturdays, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Warnings will be issued for a first offense, followed by a $100 fine for subsequent residential violations.

🚧TRAFFIC ALERT: McLelland Ave Temporary Lane Closure

To facilitate the final stages of construction at Willow Valley/Eastern Heights Park, a temporary lane closure during active hours will be in place to allow for the removal of construction materials.

Traffic control measures, including lane closure signage and flaggers, will safely direct traffic through the area. McLelland will return to normal two-way traffic operations during non-working hours.

Please use caution when traveling through the area and follow all posted signs and directions from flaggers. Thank you for your patience as we prepare for the park’s grand reopening.

🚧TRAFFIC ALERT: McLelland Ave Temporary Lane Closure

Construction on Willow Valley/Eastern Heights Park will require a temporary lane closure on McLelland Ave and Sharpe St. to asphalt and stripe new parallel parking spaces on the curb line.

There will be lane closure signage and flaggers present during the working hours, with the road returning to two-way traffic during non-working hours.

Summer Reading at the Mooresville Public Library will officially begin with our Summer Reading Kickoff at Liberty Park on May 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. where patrons can join us for gem mining, dinosaur-themed activities, and a scavenger hunt! We will have staff onsite to help patrons register for Summer Reading.

Patrons can sign up to track their reading to earn tickets into our prize basket drawings on the Beanstack app or on beanstack.com. This year’s program will open for logging on May 30, but you can preregister starting May 15. We will have twelve, all-ages prize baskets for patrons to try to win that will be housed at the Main Library. Our community goal for this year is one million minutes of reading!
