Hi, Raintree Families! Meet Marie Rainey, our October Kind Teacher of the month! 💙

Congratulations to Ms. Marie! She has been such a wonderful help in helping to train our new staff and has shown so much flexibility and teamwork. We are thankful for her willingness to always lend a helping hand and support our Raintree team.

Fun Fact: In the 1980s, Marie co-owned and operated a daycare in Georgia where she and her business partner worked closely with underserved families. She describes this experience as one of the most fulfilling things she has ever done. ❤️

We are so grateful to have someone with Marie's wealth of experience, passion, and love for Early Childhood Education as part of our Raintree family! 💙

Hello Raintree Families,

October is going to be a very special month here at Raintree! 💛 We are excited to share that our school will be participating in a month-long fundraising effort in partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Throughout the month of October, we will be coming together as a school community to help support St. Jude’s mission of advancing research and treatment for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, while helping families focus on their child without the added burden of treatment costs.

As a part of our Fundraising Month, our 1st fundraiser "Coins for Carson" has officially kicked off!

For the duration of October, we will be collecting coins as a Fundraiser Challenge. Each class has a "Piggy Bank" and is located outside of their room. The goal is for each classroom to collect as many coins as possible in order to support our St. Jude fundraiser - school goal, and by doing so, the class with the most collected coins will earn a Class Prize or Party!

We hope our Raintree families will join us throughout the month as we work together to make a difference for children and families facing childhood cancer.

🌸 TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: MEET BROOKE! 🌸

We are excited to introduce you to Brooke!
Brooke is 18 years old and recently graduated from high school in June. She has been working in childcare for the past three months and is excited to continue growing her experience in Early Childhood Education.

Brooke plans to attend college later this year to pursue a career in the medical field. 🎓 She is originally from Charlotte, NC, has had three different jobs, and has a twin brother—how fun is that?! 👯‍♀️

Outside of the classroom, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family. Her favorite color is pink, she loves tea and energy drinks, enjoys salty snacks and pasta, and her favorite place to shop is the mall. 🩷 Her favorite season is winter, and spending time with the people she loves is one of her favorite things to do. ❄️❤️

We are so happy to have Brooke as part of our school family and look forward to watching her grow in her career while making special memories with our little ones! 🌈✨

We are excited to introduce you to Jocelyne Mutaganda, one of the wonderful members of our Floater Team at Cadence Academy! ❤️ Jocelyne is happily married to her husband, Pierre, and together they are blessed with three amazing children. She brings a wealth of experience to our school, with 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and more than 13 years of experience working in higher education institutions.

Throughout her career, Jocelyne has developed a strong passion for working with children and supporting their growth, learning, and development. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of our teaching team and truly enjoys making a difference in the lives of the children she works with. 🥰

Jocelyne holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rwanda, a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Rwanda, and a High School Diploma in Human Sciences from Lycée de Kigali. 🎓

We are so happy to have Jocelyne as part of our school family! 💕

Meet our Infant 2 Lead, Mrs. Sumathy! She truly loves working with children and feels blessed to be a part of their growth, learning, and development. Each morning when she walks into her classroom, she describes it as entering a “miracle world,” surrounded by the joy, curiosity, and wonder of her students. 🥰

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves playing badminton. 🏸 She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and brings her passion, experiences, and love for children into the classroom each day. We are so thankful to have her as part of our school family! 🌈💛

Her favorite colors are maroon and pink, and she enjoys a refreshing Coke, baked potato chips, and a delicious chicken sandwich. She loves shopping at Target and Ross, and summer is her favorite season! ☀️🏸

When it comes to reading, two of her favorite books are Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. 📚❤️ We hope you’re enjoying getting to know our wonderful teacher's a little better! 🌈✨

With an incredible 26 years of experience in childcare, she has dedicated her career to caring for, teaching, and nurturing children as they grow and learn. Her passion for working with children is truly special, and she feels blessed to be part of so many important moments in their development. 🥰

After 26 years, her love for children and commitment to making a positive difference in their lives continues to grow every day! We are so grateful to have her as part of our school family and can't wait for you to get to know her a little better! 🌈💛

When she’s not busy caring for and teaching our little ones, she enjoys spending time with her family and soaking up the sunshine at the beach. Her favorite color is silver, and she loves popcorn, seafood, and shopping at Burlington. She enjoys playing tennis, loves the Christmas season, and is always up for a good horror movie! 👻🎄🏖️🎾❤️
