Dear friends:
Five years ago you rallied around me and our shared vision for improving public education in our community. When I first raised my voice to run, I had no idea the joys and challenges ahead of me. I've discovered that I love public service and my gifts are well used in this vocation!

Since 2018 election, you have been stalwart encouragers, challenging me to advocate for rigorous academics, to be a calming voice for pragmatic solutions, and to offer respect and dignity to all our students, teachers, and staff.

Thank you for trusting me to represent our community. Today marks the last day of my school board term.

A good friend taught me it's important to "leave well," so the last several weeks have been full of thank you notes and visionary conversations about how my work on city council will help further the cause of quality public education.

Perhaps most importantly, I've met with our new representative, Ben Connor, and given him a full download on our equity work, legislative processes, and facilities plans. I'll be holding him accountable and know you'll join me!

Thank you again for your trust and confidence in me. From here on out you can reach me at [email protected]. Stay in touch!

PS - Look how much my kids have grown! We have one in college now and one in 9th grade this year!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Brown Academy families *get it*! They call the school in advance when their children are sick and don’t send them to school! That healthy behavior helps keep Brown Academy healthy too! Elbow bumps to the families, students, teachers, and leaders at Brown. Thank you!

Lookout Valley Middle High’s band instruments can make beautiful music, but they’re in rough shape. An investment this year will allow for major repairs and the band can hardly wait!
