Before he was serving the Chelmsford community, Sergeant Nick Thayer was making saves for the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs!

Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Thayer on his recent induction into the UMass Dartmouth Hall of Fame!

A Chelmsford native and four-year member of the men’s lacrosse team, Sergeant Thayer established himself as one of the best goaltenders in program history. He finished his collegiate career with 574 saves and a 41-20 record in goal, helping lead the Corsairs to playoff appearances in all four seasons, including three trips to the Little East Conference semifinals.

His accomplishments earned him two All-LEC First Team selections and an All-LEC Second Team selection. His standout 2014 season included a 12-5 record and 137 saves.

We’re proud to celebrate Sergeant Thayer’s accomplishments on the field and his continued service to his hometown. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
